Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) often referred to by her professional moniker Ari Lennox is an American singer and songwriter of Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be contracted to J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. The debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released via Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox published her first tracks online in 2012. She released Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. In 2014 she continued to share her music over the web including her self issued single Bound. Her music was also featured on Omen's Elephant Eyes and at Sweat It out on the 21st of July, 2015. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville team at the time and wanted her to do some Rihanna and Rihanna-related songs. In December, it was revealed 8th, that she'd joined Dreamville Records. Backseat is a track that which she co-wrote alongside Cozz in the Revenge of the Dreamers II collaboration album. She dropped Pho, her debut album on October 21st in 2016. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018, she appeared as a guest performer on two tracks, including the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas' Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single from Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on 16 July 2018. The music video launched in September. She released her second single called Grampa on the 9th of November. On November 13 two new singles called"No One and Pedigree. The singer appeared alongside Cole in The Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby in November 16, then she released the song in a solo version for Her debut album. The song was followed by the music video which debuted in February 20, 2019, and it surpassed 3 million views on YouTube in one week. In December 2018, she was part of the From East Atlanta With Love Tour with 6LACK.
